Play Dough - Processing

Concept:
Providing a hands-on approach to processing an activity, idea, or goal.
Materials: Play Dough

Guidelines:
Supply each person with a lump of play dough, if they want a certain color great! Ensure that they feel comfortable and have ample personal space needed.
• Ask each person the make a sculpture. Ask them to make it representative of the learnings they have had during the program. Talk about metaphors and how a sculpture of play dough could be a metaphor representing the issue or learning that each person had.
• After everyone is finished, they can share there sculpture and explain what they sculpted and what it represents to them.

Variations: I have used this with corporate and youth programs. I sometimes use the play dough as an opening activity; participants sculpt what they hope to gain from the team building program.

Notes: This activity is great for getting creative juices flowing, something about the smell of play dough and getting your hands dirty, really makes people feel creative!
